My friend recommended this place as the best Italian food restaurant, I had doubts when I got there , it didn't look like a fancy place at all , it is simple and small , I have been in really nice and expensive Italian restaurants in Vegas but believe me it's the best Italian food in town, great prices and you can bring your bottle of wine !! The best of the best !

Los Olivos Ristorante is well-known for their impressive Italian cuisine! The restaurant is actually hidden on Desert Inn and Sandhill, behind Snap Auto Cash Car Rental. There's ample parking. Inside is a small dining room with around ten tables for seating. They have good music playing of Frank Sinatra songs like Moon River and Strangers In The Night. Menu offers a nice selection of tasty appetizers, soup, salad, baked dish, pizza, pasta, seafood, chicken, and veal. After placing an order, complimentary bread sticks are served with a side of olive oil pesto. Classic Caesar Salad ($8) is good and has crisp romaine tossed in traditional Caesar dressing and parmesan cheese. There are few croutons added to the salad, and it's okay to request for more. I love the Crab Cakes ($16), very delicious! It's lightly breaded and pan-fried to perfection, served with a sweet citrus aioli sauce, Yum! For dessert, I had Carrot Cake which is amazing! Dessert is special made by a local vendor who is a friend of Chef Albino. Overall, service from Irma is welcoming, attentive, and friendly, and she is the owner and wife of the chef. The restaurant is a family-owned business for seven years. It's nice that Chef Albino makes time to check-in and he ask if everything is good. Yes indeed, the Crab Cakes and everything else is excellent!

WSOP Day 30 Midwest poker bud shows up with four bottles of Italian wine. "I thought we could use some food of my people". "Huh? I didn't know you're Italian" I say looking him over. "Well I look more Italian than you three Asians". Fair enough. Rustic, I-talian food (think NYC not Italy), made with love. We're talking crispy fried calamari with homemade marinara sauce, thick toasted bread sticks with pesto, and giant, tender braised meatballs atop a pile of spaghetti all from a menu where nothing is more than $25. A bargain. Add to it totally agreeable fried motz sticks (mozzarella frita), and some tender little neck clams cooked in a spicy tomato sauce (cozze evongole), a simple salad of spinach and romaine with onions, cucumber, olives, tomatoes and feta and all is right in the moment. Very friendly service from a true mom and pop eatery. BYOB with no corkage. For Americanized Italian food, Los Olivos may be the city's best.

Well the hole in the strip mall wall ambience is that of a noisy diner, but the seats are comfy. Meals are amazing! Had the best chicken Marsala in Vegas by a mile. Ciop was excellent with plenty of seafood. Tomato bisque was also great. Huge salads, and a tasty caprese salad albeit the tomatoes were just ok. Chicken Los Olivios was also very large portions and excellent. Service was attentive. They definitely outgrew this space, and if they want to relocate to North Vegas I will design the space for free! No beer or wine so BYOB!

Don't let the area fool you. Meal was fantastic! A welcome get away from the strip. Service was great. Tomato basil soup was delicious. Chicken Marsala was one of the best I've ever had. Lobster ravioli was right up there. Portions on the bigger side. It's byob if that important to you. I'd eat there again in a heart beat

Long overdue review, but better late than never. Los Olivos Ristorante is a hidden Vegas gem. The location may be a little rough on the outside, but the service and food inside more than make up for it. Their excellent ratings only solidify this reason. I actually had my birthday dinner here late last year with a group of friends. It's recommended you call in advance for reservations since there are only about 8 or so tables. We had taken up more than half the restaurant that night, rolling with a crew of fifteen. Operation birthday pasta in full effect. And yes, it's the truest definition of a mom and pop shop -- Albino, is the owner/chef while his wife, Irma, is the server. Their son also helps run food and fill drinks. Organized, responsive, and friendly service. Our tables were put together and complimentary bread with pesto sauce was served. My friends had brought some wine, which is one of the great perks to this restaurant (since they don't serve alcohol, there is no corkage fee yay). Wine glasses are also conveniently provided. The LOS OLIVOS SALAD ($8) is totally shareable. I'm a sucker for seafood, so the CALAMARI FRITA ($15) is definitely my appetizer recommendation. I chose the LOBSTER RAVIOLI ($24) for my entree, which was the hit of the night, since 6 other friends also chose the same. It comes plated with 6 pieces, decadent cream sauce, and it was simply fabulous. Prices are super affordable as you can tell for Italian cuisine. We had a fun evening. None of my friends have been prior, and so it was nice to be able to share and experience this restaurant together. We'll be back, thank you!

Came highly recommended from a friend so we decided to try it out for a date night and we absolutely loved it! This cute restaurant is very intimate so definitely call ahead if you're planning on a party bigger than 4. We had the crab cakes and calamari for apps while snacking on their fresh baked rolls as well. And to top it off, we had the Linguine Vongole & Pasta Penne Bolognese

I was looking for a top spot for Meatballs and Spaghetti. So, I inserted "Best Meatballs and Spaghetti" on Yelp , and its search engine spat out one name: Los Olivos Ristorante. After seeing that this restaurant has a five-star overall rating on over 500 reviews, and reading several Yelp reviews, including two that said the food here was the best Italian food they ever tasted, I decided to see for myself, with Diane in tow. Now, after experiencing a few dishes, I can say that I don't disagree. My entree of Meatballs and Spaghetti was among the best I have eaten to date, and my bowl of very hot Tomato Basil Soup was clearly the finest I have consumed. Not far behind were the golden and delicate Calamari Fritti accompanied by a mild Marinara Sauce and a requested Garlic Oil Dip, and a large Caesar Salad with numerous fresh Romaine leaves, bits of cheese, four requested Brown Anchovies, and a vibrant creamy Caesar Dressing. Complimentary Bread shaped like half-torpedoes was very tasty slathered with butter or dipped in a Tapenade seasoned with Basil and Rosemary. And Diane was very pleased with her Lobster Ravioli bathed in a delightful Cream Sauce. All food was served on white ceramic plates. We both thought we would return home with no leftovers. But we were wrong. After I read that the two meatballs weighed 8 ounces each, and finished one of them, I knew it would be foolish for me to try to continue eating the remaining half of my main, especially considering that plenty of spaghetti and Marinara Sauce still remained on the plate. I had ordered the dish with extra sauce. So, I stopped eating, and so did Diane. What was left made a great lunch for me the next day. And Diane did not regret bringing part of her Lobster Ravioli home. Besides superb cooking, our server, Irma, was very responsive to our requests, and even anticipated needs for more Iced Tea or water. Some voices at other tables were loud in the small dining room, but we soon adjusted to the noise level. Since there are only about nine tables available, advance reservations are required. I successfully made mine for a Saturday night via telephone just two days ahead, so don't lose hope in securing one. The chef/owner came out when there was a lull in preparing orders, to greet us and other diners, and see how we liked the food. Then he asked us to come back. We already have a return visit planned!

Decided to eat here after our main place closed early. After looking at Yelp for recommendations for Italianrestaurant, we ended up here. We're glad we chose this spot. We got Fettuccine Alfredo and Meat Lasagna. Pasta is al dente, and came in hot and from the pan. Serving is just perfect even after eating their complimentary bread. Fettuccine Alfredo was delicious, saucy just how we like it. We didn't add any meat, but it is $3 more. Lasagna came in hot. Pasta is al dente and a lot of sauce. Delicious! Unfortunately, we were going for Meat Lover pizza but they said that Pizza is not available. Bummer, but Lasagna was still delicious and a great alternative. Small space, limited to 8 tables. Call ahead to reserve a table. Chef is out there, you can see him cook and heat the food sizzle. We're definitely coming back here! A recommend in my book!
